I can't speak highly enough of Sophie & her "Jesus hands" Marmite owes his life to her, his first session was the first time I had seen him enjoy being touched, instead of flinching he was leaning in like a cat for more attention - it brought tears to my eyes! Roly is also happy, cantering on both leads and jumping everything I point him at again, he didn't need anymore schooling lessons as he was perfect after the massage. Thanks again!

I have found the massage sessions Sophie provides have worked amazingly well on my showjumper. He is a lot freer, more relaxed and it has made a huge difference to his jumping and flatwork

Sophie is an enthusiastic, encouraging teacher and an excellent tutor who gives constructive, positive feedback, thankyou

About Sophie

Sophie Slavin qualified as an Merishia Animal Practitioner in 2005. Since then she has been carrying out regular massages on her own horses, and believes this has contributed to her continued success at the shows. Her horse Princess (Room For This) foaled in 1981 is still competing, and has qualified for the trailblazers national finals 3 times, UK Riders & Chasers national finals 3 times. Gained an 8th place at the Showjumping Championships Of Great Britain, and has competed there twice. Has won over £500 BSJA, qualified for the South West Veteran Finals and has been placed and won at many local championships.

Sophie has been riding since the age of 6 and now regularly works on other peoples horses, breaking, schooling and pecialises in nervous horses.

Sophie also works in connection with Charlotte Wilson at www.troublesomehorse.co.uk who specialises in behavioural/retraining programmes for horses. Upon arrival each horse is given a full assessment by Sophie to enable rulings out of any muscle related reasons as to why the horse isn't responding to it's owner. Once this has been eliminated, Charlotte then works with the horse, achieving results which many owners thought not previously possible.
